Blake got to visit the beach at Pawley's Island for the very first time this summer. He wasn't too sure about the water and didn't really know what to think of the sand. I'm sure next summer he'll be running right alongside Brooklynn down the beach.
Blake is spending more and more time in his high chair as we're increasing the amount of solid food that he eats. It's a little tough keeping food in his mouth, but how can you get frustrated when you look at that little face.
Uncle Bob, Aunt Eileen, Aunt Barb, Uncle Barry, Uncle Bill, Aunt Cindy...whew! I think all we have to say is that there are quite a few family members out there that love to get their hands on little Blake.
Mimi came down to South Carolina for a week and just couldn't believe how big Blake had gotten. You have to watch him carefully. If you don't, he grows up way too quick!
And Mommy loves her Blake. Blake's eyes just light up whenever he sees Joy and he's always looking around the room when he hears her voice. It's pretty amazing to watch.
Blake and Brooklynn both got their red, white and blue outfits on for the occasion. We went out and ate some Mexican, made a Coldstone ice cream run, and headed back to our house to watch fireworks from our driveway. Let's just say that people in our subdivision aren't afraid to spend a little of their hard-earned cash on some neighborhood entertainment. Good times!
