It's been a crazy few days!

For those who haven't been able to see little Blake in his hospital room, I just wanted to post up a couple pictures of the little guy. And for those who haven't heard why he's there, here's a quick rundown. Blake caught a cold from Brooklynn last week and with an infant, that's all that's needed to land them in the hospital. Sunday night he was really congested and struggling to breathe. We were pretty concerned at that point so we decided to take him into the emergency room. While there we found out that he had the RSV virus and one of his lungs was barely functioning. He was also very dehydrated. We were transported to another hospital and put into the ICU area. He's been getting oxygen to help him breathe at 100% and they've been monitoring him very closely and continuing to help him get all the congestion out of his system. They also gave him plenty of fluids through an IV to help the dehydration. He's doing really well and his appetite has returned. We hopefully won't be in the hospital too many more days. We are so overwhelmed with everyone's prayers and all the love that Blake has received. We will continue to covet more prayers and keep you updated on little Blake's adventure.

Mimi and Papa time!

Mimi and Papa came all the way down from Illinois to visit Blake. I think they really thought their first grandson was really cool!

2 weeks old already!

It seems like just yesterday that we were bringing little Blake home and now he's already two weeks old! He's really adjusted to life in the Cutter house as he's eating and sleeping really well. At his one-week doctor's appointment he passed with such flying colors that we don't have to come back until he's a month old. We truly are blessed and we continue to pray that he stays healthy and strong.

Our little man!

Even though Blake looks a lot like Brooklynn, we still definitely think he looks like a boy. He's our special little guy!

Blake's first bath!

We finally gave Blake his first bath this afternoon. He did well until the water hit him, then it was all out screaming from there. His pitiful cry is just like Brooklynn's...it's amazing how similar they are.

I'm already four days old!

Even though he is only four days old, Blake seems to be changing every day. He's doing really well since coming home. He's sleeping pretty good and eating his way out of our home. We still can't believe we actually have two children now...I think it's just starting to hit us. This is the real deal...no dream.

Blake comes home!

Amazingly enough, we actually got out of the hospital right on time. Blake did great on his first car ride home and he's settled right in as another member of the Cutter family household. Brooklynn is really starting to realize that this little guy is going to be sticking around, and she's been so sweet to him thus far. It's been a great third day!

Day 2 and another scratch.

Blake loves to flail his arms. And in doing so, he continues to scratch his little face. We've been trying to keep little mittens on his hands so that he doesn't leave the hospital tomorrow looking like we threw him into a briar patch. Blake is doing great and everything is looking healthy. Day 2 in the hospital is done and we're so looking forward to going home. You think that you would be able to relax, but there seems to be some sort of hospital staff member knocking on your door every five minutes. Oh well. It's good that they care. More photos from home tomorrow.

Ehhh, we got a couple more weeks...Blake!?!

Blake decided he was ready to join the world even if it was two weeks before his due date. William Blake Cutter was born on March 7, 2007 at 8:17am. He weighed 7 pounds even and measured 20 inches long. Save an ounce or so, that's almost exactly the same size as Brooklynn was. He's such an amazing little guy and we are so thrilled to have him part of our family. Thank you to everyone for all of your gifts, phone calls, and visits. We appreciate it so much and we hope everyone will get to meet him in person sometime soon!
