One month...okay, almost two month pictures.

This morning we took Blake and Brooklynn to Portrait Innovations to get Blake's one-month pictures taken, even though he's almost two months. What an adventure that was! Blake was perfect...Brooklynn still doesn't want to have anything to do with posing for a camera. We did luckily get some really great shots. I just had to crack up at the shot above. It really looks like Blake is already showing off those muscles. You can take a look at the rest of the photos by clicking here.

Is that a smile I see?

It's amazing how much Blake is changing every single day. He's beginining to really fill out as he puts on weight, and the smiles that he is giving us are just awesome.

Our litte guy...

Blake's been growing up so fast. You would never have known that he spent a couple weeks in the hospital. Take a look at that hair!

One Month....Already

We went to the pediatrician this past Friday to have a follow-up appointment and to also do his one-month check-up. Everything looked great and despite a rough start Blake has really grown! He weighs 9 lbs 4 oz and is 21 3/4 inches. We are very thankful for how well he is doing. He liked sitting in the corner of the couch by himself, apparently he thinks he is bigger than he is.

Long stay, but finally home!

Blake finally got to come home from the hospital this past Tuesday. It's such a huge relief to finally see him detached from all the wires and tubes! We want to thank everyone so much for their thoughts, prayers, meals and more. We've been overwhelmed with God's goodness through this entire experience and it's so good to see the power of prayer as we've seen His hand on Blake the entire week.

It's been a crazy few days!

For those who haven't been able to see little Blake in his hospital room, I just wanted to post up a couple pictures of the little guy. And for those who haven't heard why he's there, here's a quick rundown. Blake caught a cold from Brooklynn last week and with an infant, that's all that's needed to land them in the hospital. Sunday night he was really congested and struggling to breathe. We were pretty concerned at that point so we decided to take him into the emergency room. While there we found out that he had the RSV virus and one of his lungs was barely functioning. He was also very dehydrated. We were transported to another hospital and put into the ICU area. He's been getting oxygen to help him breathe at 100% and they've been monitoring him very closely and continuing to help him get all the congestion out of his system. They also gave him plenty of fluids through an IV to help the dehydration. He's doing really well and his appetite has returned. We hopefully won't be in the hospital too many more days. We are so overwhelmed with everyone's prayers and all the love that Blake has received. We will continue to covet more prayers and keep you updated on little Blake's adventure.

Mimi and Papa time!

Mimi and Papa came all the way down from Illinois to visit Blake. I think they really thought their first grandson was really cool!
