Happy 60th Papa!

Papa and Mimi came down for a few days and it just happened to fall right after Papa's 60th birthday. We all met at the airport and greeted him as he arrived. Blake's little curly head looked so cute wondering around the airport, and Papa was definitely shocked to see the huge surprise as he walked through the terminal.

Just a little muddy!

Brooklynn and Blake decided that the water hose could make a great "river" in a bare spot of our backyard. A mud hole was more like it and Blake became covered from head to toe.

I know what to do with these.

Blake got a hold of my keys the other day and I was surprised to see him go straight for the door. He was a persistent little guy trying each one to see if it would fit. It's amazing how he picks up on everything we do.

Trip to the Riverbanks Zoo

This past weekend we took Brooklynn and Blake to the Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia, South Carolina. This was our first trip to this zoo, and we were a little concerned because Blake would be missing his morning nap. But he ended up doing really good as he was fairly happy chilling out in his stroller. I had to get him out, though, when we got to the aquarium as he really wanted to get out and see all the fish.

Blake finally starts to walk!

We've been really anxious to see Blake actually start walking. He always wants down whenever we're out in public, and you just can't let the kid crawl around the streets! Within the last couple days we've been pleasantly surprised to see Blake choose to walk rather than crawl.
